This Old House Landscape Contractor Roger Cook Passes Away

Roger Cook, Longtime 'This Old House' Cast Member, Dies at 70

Cook Founded KR Tree and Landscape Company in Woburn in 1982

Roger Cook, a landscape contractor who was a regular cast member on the PBS home renovation program This Old House, died on August 21 at the age of 70.

Cook founded KR Tree and Landscape Company in Woburn with his wife Kathy in 1982. The company provides a full range of landscape services, including design, installation, and maintenance.

Cook joined the cast of This Old House in 1989 and quickly became a fan favorite. He was known for his expertise in landscape design and his friendly personality.

Cook's death was announced on the This Old House website. The statement said that Cook "was a beloved member of the This Old House family and will be deeply missed."

Visiting hours for Cook will be held on Thursday, August 24, from 4 to 8 pm at the Edward V. Sullivan Funeral Home in Burlington. A funeral Mass will be held on Friday, August 25, at 10 am at St. Margaret's Church in Burlington.

Cook is survived by his wife, Kathy; his children, Roger Jr., Jennifer, and Sarah; and his grandchildren, Ethan, Emily, and Jack.

In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Roger Cook Memorial Fund at the Woburn Public Library.
